Meet Lynn Morgan
Lynn received her degree in French from Ohio State University. She taught in Michigan for one year before making her home in Texas. She worked as a social worker with emotionally disturbed adolescent boys before she started her career in real estate. Lynn listed and sold real estate for JB Goodwin Realtors and then had the opportunity to become the company’s first full-time training director. She was then offered the position of branch manager and at one point managed an office of approximately 65 agents.
Along with her busy management schedule, she served as President of the local Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors and also served as President for the local branch of the American Association of University Women.
Her next professional step was General Manager of the JB Goodwin company, overseeing the operations in Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
Another opportunity presented itself in 1989 and Lynn and her partner Wayne Morgan purchased the Austin Institute of Real Estate. They systemized and built it into the model business it is today.
Meet Wayne Morgan
Wayne comes from a family of entrepreneurs and sales people. Wayne has been selling since he was nineteen years old. He also owned a heavy duty trucks part business in Houston before relocating to Austin in 1985.
He decided to get into real estate sales and became a successful agent.
Wayne found in the late 80’s that he had a true gift for teaching complex or difficult concepts and making then easy for the student. With his love for learning new things, Wayne attended a course taught by Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad Poor Dad). After the course, Robert made Wayne an offer to teach business courses and personal growth courses in Australia and New Zealand. After going through an intense two-year program of learning how to teach using accelerated learning, games and participation, Robert and Wayne traveled to Australia and New Zealand for six years teaching these concepts.
In 1989 Wayne and Lynn purchased the Austin Institute of Real Estate. Wayne used these same techniques in his Marketing, Business Building and Investing courses and students talked about the fact that these courses were “life changing”.
Wayne’s reputation as a world-class instructor and his ability to help people see what works and doesn’t work for them created a loyal following of students to The Austin Institute.
In 2005, Wayne wrote the book, “How to Get Rich in Real Estate… AND Have a Life!” which is a MUST READ for anyone serious about becoming successful in real estate.
Also in 2005 Wayne created the Real Estate Business Blueprint and a self-paced home study program called “The Real Estate Business Blueprint, A Business in a Box” to allow more people to have the information necessary to truly turn their real estate career into a business that works hard…...so they don’t have to.
Wayne loves the subjects of marketing, business and investing and continues to study these subjects with passion. He offers both an introductory investing course called the Psychology of Investing which is TREC approved for 30 hours of credit and a high level investing program once a year for people who want in-depth training and education about investing.
Wayne is working toward his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. CCIM is among among an elite corps of more than 9000 professionals who hold the CCIM designation across North America and more than 30 countries.
Wayne is also an avid bicyclist. He rode for the Aids Life Cycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles with his friend Bill Shopoff in 2006 and 2007. He has done the MS150 from Houston to Austin for the past three years and in July 2008, he rode in the Ragbrai ride, a 475 mile ride across Iowa as part of the Lance Armstrong team raising money to fight cancer.
Wayne’s philosophy is: First you learn, then you earn, then you give back. Learn more about how Wayne and AIRE are giving back.
He teaches this philosophy in his classes and encourages people to get their finances handled so they can get out of the struggle of earning a living and get on with what they are suppose to do while they are here!
