The Dow just had its lowest May since 1940! Stocks, Mutual Funds, 401K's, IRA's, etc. have long been considered a stable and secure place to invest, but given our current economic situation those strategies have proven to be unstable and high risk. Many Americans have lost a considerable amount of their investments and many businesses have gone bankrupt. The market is upside down, unpredictable, and the risk is higher than ever. Real Estate took a dip with the rest of the economy in 2008; however, it is back on the rise and is now a very promising platform for investing.
In these tough economic times, don't be tighter with your money... be smarter.
Traditional areas of investment such as the stock market have gone from stable to high risk. Right now, the best place to invest your money is in Real Estate, but don't do it blindly. Learn what to look for and how to minimize risk and maximize your investments.

The Home Star jobs bill is in the final stages of approval. Once it is passed, there will be incentives and rebates for property owners to do upgrades on their homes. There will be a federal requirement to have a test-in and a test-out (before and after) to determine the amount of energy savings the retrofit produced.
In the wording of the Home Star legislation itself, it states that the person who is qualified to do the test-in and test-out must be BPI certified. That’s why becoming BPI (Building Performance Institute) Building Analyst certified can create enormous opportunity for Inspectors.
Take our Building Analyst course and prepare yourself to profit from the explosion of green jobs that are about to hit as a result of the Home Star legislation.

Stocks Tumble, Dow Ends Worst May Since 1940
By Rita Nazareth and Elizabeth Stanton, Bloomberg Media
U.S. stocks slid, capping the worst May for the Dow Jones Industrial Average since 1940, while the euro slumped and Treasuries rose as a downgrade of Spain’s debt rating and escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula triggered a flight from riskier assets.

By RISMEDIA, May 11, 2010
Few subjects have attracted as much attention lately as Social Networking. This communication technique is everywhere, and sites such as Facebook—with over 500 million registered users—represent a target that is just too big to ignore for any self-respecting marketer. The idea of having a 500-million-person target to shoot at brings chills to the heart of any hunter worth his salt.
"It’s about educating yourself and then educating your investors on the process!"

When it comes to investing, what seems easy is really hard and what seems hard is really easy. Understanding this paradox and realizing that learning the principles of business and investing for yourself, instead of putting all your trust in financial advisors, will lead to easier decisions in the future and a more prosperous life.
Click to see Wayne explain the concept of "Paradox" in his video blog .

"It's ALWAYS a good time to make money in real estate."
The Home Star legislation is projected to create 168,000 new jobs for inspectors and contractors working in the green energy industry. Incentives will be given to homeowners so that they can make their homes more energy efficient and reduce their energy bills.
The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) is raising its standards and holding schools more accountable for the success of their students. New standards state that at least 55% of a schools graduates must pass a Commission licensing exam the first time the exam is taken in order for a school to renew its program accreditation. On April 28, 2010 TREC released a report showcasing pass rate results for live and online course exams. The Austin Institute is proud to say that we had the highest pass rate percentage amongst TREC accredited schools that put through over 100 students within the date range of the report.
End of Home Buyer Tax Credit Unlikely to Deter Most Real Estate Buyers
By RISMEDIA, April 29, 2010
The expiration of the 2010 Home Buyer Tax Credits on April 30 is unlikely to put off Americans looking to purchase homes who believe now is a good time to buy and are confident that home prices will rise according to a survey released by Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, Inc., a Prudential Financial, Inc. company. The survey of 1,000 Americans between the ages of 25-64 with at least $35,000 household income was conducted during April 15-20, 2010.
